The cords are a bit stiffer than my old interchangeable KnitPicks but when knitting a large item like a scarf or blanket this is not noticeable when working. I'm a big fan of aluminum. I don't knit in stainless steel. I don't knit with plastic. I don't knit in WOODEN for any reason. I finished them and decided to try them out (as a last resort) and let me tell you. These needles are TRUE! They don't stick like bamboo. They are light and smooth like satin. I needed an extra needle for my Fading Point Stick and the price was reasonable for this 32 inch size 5 needle. I like it but the glare of The glossy surface is dazzling and smooth, so the seams are easy to slip off. In comparison, the wood of the Lykke needle is strong, the stitching is comfortable without glare, the stitches move easily and don't fall off. I didn't find the cable tight. The downside is that the color fades after 4 days of use and the dots aren't as sharp as the Nova.

One of the needles broke and partially broke off in the first 20 stitches. 🙁 I had to break off a splinter to untie the stitching and now a needle is bent.
