I like the length, not quite 10 inches as the longer needles cause my wrist pain. The needles appear hollow and light. I bought these because I'm new to knitting and afraid to use circular needles. I want to make a hat and cast on 110 stitches. I have 10 inch needles but didn't think they would be long enough so I ordered them. The size 6 needle is slightly different from the 10 inch size 6 needle I already had. These needles are very thin and when I took the size 6 needle out of its pouch the end of the size immediately popped out. I received a set of needles and other items. The holder for extra yarn needles was torn, so the cover came off and the needles were loose in the box. I put the needles in the container I had. I wrote the US size chart on the needle holder with permanent marker, and I was able to do it on the tip of each needle size as well since they are marked with metric sizes, but that's not a problem.
