Changed the stock Pirelli Zero Rosso 235/60/R18 tires on the Volvo xc60 to Pilot Sport 4 tires with the VOL marking, which are specifically intended for Volvo vehicles. The noise level is significantly higher than the stock. This is really frustrating because, as indicated by the stickers, Michelin 70dB and Pirelli 71dB. begins somewhere about 40 kilometers per hour and can be felt at any speed. I had hoped that by the time I got out on the ice it would be a little warmer and calmer, but alas, not quite yet. We traveled for a thousand kilometers at speeds of 10 and 25 kilometers per hour while we waited for them to die down. It did not seem to make much of a difference when I increased the pressure from 2.4 to 2.7 (both of which are advised by the manufacturer depending on the load). I read a lot of customer evaluations before making my decision, and I spent a lot of money on it; it seems like a great tire, and it grips the road flawlessly, but the noise level is off the charts. Michelin, What other options are there, and at what distance in kilometers should they begin to lessen? Perhaps they sold me a subscription? Made in Poland, there are three DOT0821 parts and one DOT3819 piece.
