Review on Premium Garmin fenix 6 Sapphire Multisport GPS Watch: Mapping, Music, Pace Guidance & Pulse Ox Sensors by Aaron Vazquez

Nice watch but patience

I finally switched from Garmin 910XT to Fenix 6 Sapphire. This is a huge improvement BUT there are so many options and possibilities that it will take me a while to figure out what works best for me. I saw a few YouTube videos about the watch and had an idea of what to do, but after actually using the watch things changed. Lessons Learned: I don't listen to music from my watch because it drains the battery much faster (on longer runs > 6 miles) and I always have my phone with me anyway. I still want to learn how to hear a running pace meter. Sleep, fitness and physical monitoring are really good, but I wish VO2 max didn't require running/biking outdoors. When it's too cold or too deep in the snow I prefer to run indoors and it signals that your training status is declining even though I'm training indoors at a higher intensity. Overall this is a good watch, the real confirmation for me is how it will perform in 2-3 years.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • I'm worried about this
