it will be great in my opinion

I don't know much about wetsuits but needed one for my son who was freezing during the swimming lessons. Unfortunately this wasn't the right thing as it is an inside pool (this wetsuit is toot thick for that) but it was well made and if you order the right size and for the right thing, it will be great in my opinion.

Pros
  • I received a used filthy child's wetsuit from Revain. See pictures. Need i say anything else!
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not fit properly and could lead to discomfort or chafing

Great fit--love the ankle zippers

My daughter got really cold during her scuba class' pool sessions. She had outgrown her shorty, so we went with a suit that was one size larger than she'd normally wear (to allow for growth room). The collar on this is high, so if you're going to use a hood, it can seal it effectively.A really nice feature is the zippers on the ankles, which make donning and doffing the suit a breeze. Can't beat the value on a child's wetsuit.

Pros
  • They seem to be well made and fit nicely. Got it for my grandson and he loves it!
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for all body types

This worked out great for my 7 year old

This worked out great for my 7 year old. He has a lot of nervousness about swimming but loves to be in the water. This really helped him get more comfortable in the water. He is a little long for him especially in the crotch area, but it doesn't inhibit his ability to swim at all.

Pros
  • Offers reliable protection against chaffing
Cons
  • It may not provide enough insulation in extremely cold water temperatures

LOVE - Perfect cut for slimmer kids, High Quality, Nice Details

Bought my 8 y.o. a size 10; they're 52 inches and weigh 66 lbs (lots of leg muscle from gymnastics). This wetsuit has a little room to grow and is cut for slimmer kids; it would not have been a good brand for my husky 6 y.o. (48 inches and 72 lbs).Suit is comfy and warm; note these are 2/3 suits with thinner neoprene in certain areas (colored panels) for improved movement/flexibility (typical of thicker wetsuits). Lots of thoughtful details in the wetsuit construction including a velcro zipper…

Pros
  • Provides excellent comfort, even when worn for an extended period
Cons
  • It may not provide enough visibility for children in low-light conditions

Great for the Oregon Coast in August

Helped my low-body-fat boys boogie board in the Oregon surf the way I used to boogie board in the warm Atlantic off Virginia Beach in my youth. Well, they still couldn't last quite as long but I don't think the water would have been tolerable without these.Easy-on, easy-off (unzip and peel inside out), comfy, and look like real grownup wetsuits - no too kidlike for our almost-12-year-old who is easily embarrassed these days. The zips on the ankles and the velcro at the back neck are great!Fit…

Pros
  • Helps to reduce the risk of hypothermia during extreme weather conditions
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be easy for children to put on by themselves

Does the trick nicely!

My tiny, petite little daughter with not an ounce of body fat on her was getting ready to quit her swim team, even though she loves swimming. However, with no bodily reserves to speak of, and the cold water temps necessary for lap swimming at practice, it had begun to be too much. In other words, she loves the sport physically, but hates the cold that goes along with it. She would be blue-lipped, shivering, and sometimes crying after a one hour practice. Such a good swimmer though, and hated to

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off, thanks to the high-quality zipper
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for children who are not strong swimmers

Perfect surf suits for kids!

Got a size 6 for my 6 year old son. He's 47 inches and 48lbs. It's a little long and a touch roomy, but he loves it. Got a size 10 for 9 year old daughter who is 54 inches and 68lbs. Near perfect fit, again just a touch big, but she loves it. Both surfed two 30-45 minute sessions in 57 degree water and couldn't get enough! Looking forward to extending season on both ends. Great quality and amazing value!

Pros
  • Comes with reinforced stitching that ensures high-quality and long-lasting use
Cons
  • It may not provide enough flexibility for certain water activities

Great quality wetsuit!

Awesome suit for our 8 year old. He’s on the smaller size so we trusted the size chart and a 6 could not have fit him more perfectly. It is well made and just as shown.

Pros
  • NEW DESIGN — Updated design with improved sizing and fit.
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not provide adequate buoyancy

Her suit is a good six inches too long in the legs

I bought a size 8 for my eight year old and a size 4 for my four year old. My eight year old daughter is 55 lbs and 51" tall. She is very thin. Her wetsuit fit her quite well. My four year old is 35 lbs and 42" tall. Her suit is a good six inches too long in the legs. I was able to fold them up and she didn't mind. The arms are a few inches too long, but are not wide enough to roll, so I kind of pushed them up. The suits kept them warm while they swam in an 82 degree pool.

Pros
  • Comes in a stylish and eye-catching design that looks great on any kid
Cons
  • It may not be easy to find replacement parts or accessories

Great Inexpensive Wetsuits

These wet suits are great for the cost. It works well and I would recommend it! Just don't order the pink. I had to return it because it was more of peach color. Someone is color blind. Revain.com of course took care of it without any hassle.

Pros
  • Diving Suits
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be easy to clean

Priced so reasonable and really works!

Swam in Maine water in June, which is super cold. These wet suits absolutely work. An absolute game changer.I am able to immediately get in the water and boogie board with my daughter.

Pros
  • great!
Cons
  • It may not provide enough warmth in cold water

We bought this because my tall, thin, tween .

We bought this because my tall, thin, tween daughter is always cold in the pool. The suit fits her well, except that it's made with a very generous amount of space for boobs, a body accessory that she doesn't yet possess. Otherwise it's a tight fit for her. She's quite thin, so I am imagining that a typical girl, size 14, would find this suit very tight indeed. Not sure how else to describe it, but at least it's warm.

Pros
  • SNUG & SAFE — Comfy design forms to the body and features anti-abrasion knee pads for extra safety.
Cons
  • It may be difficult to put on and take off

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very pleased with product

Awesome. First I purchased for my six year old because he was never able to complete his swimming lesson. He was always cold. This wetsuit allowed him to complete his lessons and he was able to advance to next level. He is no longer trembling in the water. I order 2 additional for my other kids. I am very pleased with product.

Pros
  • Comes with a helpful user guide to help put it on and care for it
Cons
  • It may be difficult to put on without assistance

These seem really substantial/ high quality for the price. Be aware that if your children aren't very slim, these will probably not fit well and would be pretty uncomfortable. By slim I mean that they need to buy slim pants or cinch the waists of regular pants. They run long in the legs and arms, but can easily be rolled up.

Pros
  • EASY ON AND OFF — Includes a large zipper so do-it-themselves kids can actually do it themselves.
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for all water conditions or temperatures

Excellent Wetsuit! in my review

I am a real person and this is a real review. This is going to be long because I am really thrilled with this wetsuit. As others have stated, this is a very well made wet suit. My granddaughter is very thin and cannot stay in the pool for long because she gets very cold and needs a hot shower after swimming to warm her up. We received the wet suit today and she swam in the pool for hours making big strides with her swimming. I have one happy little girl. She said now I can swim with my cousins…

Pros
  • Provides excellent protection against snags, tears, and rips
Cons
  • The wetsuit may be too thick or heavy for some children to wear comfortably

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but runs long for my opinion

I ordered size 4 for my 5 y/o and it fit really long in the legs and arms, bit better in the torso area. It's skin tight. Approximate measurements for size 4: from underarm down the arm is 14", from crotch to top of the shoulder is 22", inseam 21", length (from top of shoulder down) is 42" long. It's thick and warm. I wish I would have ordered 3 but size 4 should last him at least another year.

Pros
  • Offers value for money as it’s affordable yet durable
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be easy to clean thoroughly

A terrific wetsuit at a great price, but it runs long

I bought the size 4 for my son, who turns 5 next month. He's 43 pounds and 43 inches tall. The legs and arms are much too long for him, and I have to roll them up. It seems to be fine to do so without losing the wetsuit's function, though. It's nice and thick and is a super deal for the price! My daughter who turns 7 in 2 months also fits into the size 4 suit, and the length is much better on her. She's also 43 pounds but is 48 inches tall. Hope that information helps out with sizing questions.

Pros
  • Offers easy access to swim goggles or snorkel gear
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for children who are not used to wearing wetsuits

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the job! I’d buy again

Fit well, worked well at NC shore end of May. Also ends of sleeves and legs hemmed and stitched well- very sturdy/ good quality.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for all water sports or activities

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality! best in my review

Size was perfect. Seems to fit good. Suit was for a very skinny boy and seems to fit good not baggy at all. Bought 1 size smaller than he would wear because he is so skinny. He is tall so arms are like an inch short and legs 2 inches short but the tightness is just right! He likes it! Perfect for winter swimming!

Pros
  • Great for kids with special needs or sensitivity to the cold
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for children who are sensitive to temperature changes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits small on my review.

Looks like a great wetsuit. Nice thick neoprene seems likely to keep kids warm. I'd recommend going with "usual" size rather than the size chart. Both my kids fell withing the size range we purchased, and both complained they were too small. If we'd purchased their usual sizes, we'd already be in the water instead of awaiting exchanges.

Pros
  • Makes your child look like a pro in the water
Cons
  • It may not provide enough flexibility for activities such as surfing or wakeboarding
