Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced Immersive Sound: Logitech Z407 Bluetooth Computer Speakers with Subwoofer and Wireless Control, Delivering Premium Audio via Multiple Inputs, USB Speakers by Kiril Panajotov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

It is imperative that you comprehend the fact that you are looking at computer speakers, often known as near field speakers. When the listener is seated close to the speaker, they will get the optimum sound quality. The high frequencies disappear when there is even a slight distance between the listener and the speakers, and when there is even a slight deviation from the satellites' center axis, leaving only the low frequencies. The sound quality on the onboard sound card of my AL887 computer was not to my liking, and the sound in the middle was utterly inaudible. The speakers changed colors when they were linked to a computer via USB, and the music became crisper and fuller as a result (the DAC of the speakers is superior to that of a budget card). In order to fine-tune the audio, you will need to hunt for the best location for the subwoofer. This means finding the spot in the room in which the speakers produce the most pleasurable sound. This will determine the level of quality of the bottoms. It is also beneficial to make adjustments to them afterwards by holding down the remote control button for three seconds and rotating to the right to increase the bottoms or the left to lower them. It is unusual to find speakers in the price range of 5000–6500 that have bottoms of such a quality. Purchased with discounts for a total price of 4,700 (May 2022). For a price of 6500, most likely, if I had to guess. However, it is not easy to find a suitable replacement for the money. In addition, the speakers include a digital to analog converter (DAC), and they can be connected to a computer not only through a 3.5 mm cable but also through a USB cable. If it were able to connect headphones to the speakers, it would be feasible to listen not from the sound card that is integrated into the speakers but rather from the external DAC that is connected to the speakers. Despite this, a rating of 5 does not pull. The midrange speaker would not be affected by interference from satellites.

Pros
  • Good bottoms with a supple feel. It's the easier ones to get. The built-in DAC is superior to the low-cost sound cards that are typically included in PCs. It's a common misconception that active speakers are more expensive than an external sound card. A fair price considering the quality. The overall result leaves a very favorable impression. Excellent value for the money spent on the speakers.
Cons
  • The middle is completely inaudible, and there is no sense of crisp clarity (this is a regular issue with 2.1 speakers). Because there is only one speaker in a satellite and it has a very modest diameter, the satellite cannot provide a high-quality middle. You will need to use an equalization to add some highs in order to improve the sound quality of the speakers. In addition to this, there is no way to attach headphones to the speakers, which is another one of the negative aspects.
