Very easy to assemble, the pieces just connect via press fit tabs. Comes with gloves for assembly so you don't scratch the acrylic but I didn't end up using them as they were too large and hindered more than helped. Just take it easy and you shouldn't scratch/mar the acrylic. I didn't find any blemish on the acrylic pieces, every piece is nice and clear. The lock is more for show than anything, if someone were to snatch the box, the lock would be worthless of course. It's just there as a token lock for sticky fingers. Although the sign/display holder can be removed/left off, removing it does leave a pretty large (more than 1 inch) gap in the box and somewhat compromises the lock as the contents can be accessed relatively easily.Instead of all sides being pressed fit with tabs, I probably would have preferred if 5 sides were acrylic bonded together with a single movable side sliding off. And removing the display holder shouldn't compromise the box.
