Exposure issue when using a webcam on a MAC. Solution found. I needed an external webcam to use with a large external display. I wanted quality and reliability, and most other cameras were either too expensive or too reliable. But the normal exposure of this webcam is so high that I look like Casper the friendly ghost. It's so light my brown eyes actually looked blue and I couldn't see my nose. Great effect but not very good for trusting Zoom. I've read comments from other MAC reviewers with workarounds for this Casper effect. So I figured I'd just use one of those and bought this webcam. But none of their solutions worked. I called Revain support, they really tried every possible setup but nothing helped. And my returns window closed. For fun, I tried the Handheld Camera - Webcam Control App (alternatively: Mactaris App) from the Apple Store. It worked! Before I start scaling I need to use this app to make sure my settings are good (it doesn't always remember). FYI: I have a new MacBook Air running macOS Catalina.
