Review on Continental ContiVikingContact 7 225/50 R17 98T winter by Edyta Nowicka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

I changed the tires on a brand new Volvo S60 T5 all-wheel drive. Even though there has only been a total of one thousand kilometers of operational experience so far, it has already been feasible to ride on all different kinds of winter surfaces. St. Petersburg and the surrounding area is the scope of this usage region. I am able to state that this is my very first time riding Velcro. prior to that, I was a skeptic as well as an avid fan of the Hakki 8-9 series. The following are some conclusions: I did not believe that it could possibly be so good. despite the fact that there was already ice rain, slush, thaw, frost after thaw, snowy rolled roads, and snow with an ice crust on a rural primer, there were no variations in use on any of these different types of surfaces. This is a fantastic choice for an all-wheel drive vehicle, and the price tag is quite justifiable given the degree of use (80% city, 20% highway and country roads) the vehicle will see. I am not yet in a position to evaluate characteristics such as longevity, wear, or strength; nevertheless, I will add a review in one year. Whoever has concerns about the shift from spikes to Velcro should not be afraid, but they should pick good tires and exercise common sense when driving and obeying speed restrictions. If you drive past the safe limits of winter driving, neither spikes nor a parachute will be able to save you (dedicated to all of those who say that Velcro does not grip corners on a winter road at a speed of more than 120 kilometers per hour).

Pros
  • the vehicle's handling, acoustic comfort, predictability, and braking performance both on dry and wet pavement were all evaluated.
Cons
  • not disclosed as of yet
