Life Changer For Curious/Stubborn/Rowdy Dogs

I rescued a senior dog (11 years old) who grew up with a hoarder. So he lived with 20+ dogs and cats his entire life until he was rescued. That meant that he was used to having every dog around him be able to play with him. I noticed when walking him he was sniffing everything and then would jump and pull the leash at every dog he saw. He would try running at them and start trying to play with them even if they were 200 feet away. That made it really hard to walk him in my apartment complex…

Pros
  • Easy to use and adjust. Simply slip it over your dog's head and adjust the size to fit perfectly
Cons
  • May interfere with dogs' vision or ability to hear

The only product that worked for pulling!

We’ve tried SO MANY types of "no-pull” products, and this has been the only one to work. My dogs are very well-behaved when they have their head halters on, and it allows me to be in control of the walks. (I have a Pointer and a Bernese, both on the heavy end of the scale - and I myself am only 100lbs. I often walk them myself). With that said, neither one of our dogs seem totally pumped to wear it. But they’re able to drink, pant, sniff the ground, and carry around sticks like they enjoy to…

Pros
  • The halter is black in color, making it stylish and easy to match with any leash
Cons
  • May not prevent all types of pulling, such as scent or prey-driven behaviors

Clip broke on my review.

I really liked this head collar when I got it. We usually use a gentle leader but for hikes I wanted something with a bit more padding so he was more comfortable. It was easy fit, I loves the extra strap for attaching it to his collar for extra security. But, like many others, the slide lock broke and it no longer would fit snugly enough to be if any use. Matter if fact my sister's husky slipped out of it when we were at a hockey game because we couldn't keep it tight enough. If I can find a…

Pros
  • I love how this helps my active gsd stop pulling!!
Cons
  • May take time for dogs to adjust and get used to wearing

Game changer for my opinion

We are on our second sets because they were a total game changer with my two rambunctious mutts. They didn’t love them at the start, but a little coaxing with some cut up hot dogs and we haven’t looked back. It’s been about 3 years now that I’ve had two *mostly* well behaved walkers. Highly recommend. I originally got these because I was really worried they/I was going to get hurt when they started wrestling each other in the middle of the street or trying to get to another dog going by. These…

  • Collars
Cons

literally magic ! on my review.

it was super easy to put on, pup is very comfy and had room to open mouth too! it was literally magic when it comes to the pulling!

Pros
  • Easily adjustable and secure fit – A quick release buckle and adjustable fit make this quality harness a secure solution to unwanted behavior with your pet’s safety in mind. It provides a plastic clip under the chin to easily adjust the loop for the snout. Adjustable side straps (size 1 does not have adjustable side straps) and an adjustable neck strap make for a better and more secure fit. This ensures that the halter does not slide off easily and makes it easy to put on any dog.
Cons
  • May not work well in all weather conditions

A useful tool: my feedback

I used this as a training tool for my dog to get her to stop barging out the door every walk. I used it for about a month or 2. The initial week to let her get used to walking with it without messing with it. Eventually I transitioned her to wear this with her regular harness until she stopped charging out the door and just walked. The reason why I did it this way instead of the traditional way of in and out the door is because that made my cat escape. My dog is also too good at pulling off a…

Pros
  • No more pulling! GoodBoy Dog Head Halter is designed to teach your dog not to pull
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all training and obedience situations

Instant change once fitted

Sizing took just a few minutes for our 110 pounds of German Shepard. Once I had it adjusted he didn’t like it at first, but I followed the recommendations to get him use to it. Our first real walk took us by lots of pigeons which he hates and pulls hard to get at them normally. This time he started to and I gave a gentle tug and he stopped right away. Same when he saw another dog. May not work for all dogs but it’s working for us so far. I would buy again.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • May not prevent jumping or lunging behaviors

No more pulling on my review.

This halter has great nose padding and the chin clip has been working for me. I’ve never had this much control over the pace and position of my pup on a walk. That being said due to her head shape the side straps come a little to close to her eyes for my comfort. I wish there was a way to adjust their position on the nose band

Pros
  • Made with high-quality materials for durability and comfort
Cons
  • May not be effective for all breeds or mixed breeds

Head halter for dogs

I bought this for my husky because we are training her not to pull so much on the leash. It works.but she hates it. She will fight me on it at first and then calm down. She has chewed on the halter and it probably won't last forever. It's challenging to tighten the clip enough so she can still breathe and eat but not so much that she can slip it off her nose. The padding is nice because it cushions her nose more but I do think it is in her line of sight.

Pros
  • Can help to reduce leash aggression
Cons
  • May require frequent readjustment or tightening

Great Soft Lead! on my review.

I bought this for my dog to help with him pulling and lunging at people and it did exactly that! It was a great product to use but my dog is a bit of a menace and broke the piece that tightens below the chin. It’s just a cheap plastic piece so it was easily breakable from him rubbing his face on the ground and such but overall it worked with helping our dog not pull so hard!

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • May cause discomfort or pain if tightened too much

Great fit, well designed

We've been using Gentle Leader brand since 1997, but the newer ones have that super thin nose piece that really cuts into their muzzle so when we got a new puppy we thought we'd buy him a different brand. I couldn't resist a color lined halter, it's really stunning. It fits great and the design is nice and sturdy. The bottom of the cushion isn't sewn down or finished off, which is annoying but it won't fray due to the material. We're going to trim and sew it down ourselves. Will be replacing…

Pros
  • Can be used in combination with other training tools
Cons
  • May cause dogs to become distracted or fidgety

It works! - my new review

This is the first thing that actually works. My dog was uncomfortable for the first 10 minutes, soon he got used to it.Walks are much fun now. After 10 minutes on the walk he learned he couldn't pull anymore and he quit trying. It really works.

Pros
  • Reduces stress and anxiety in dogs who have a fear of walking on a leash
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all breeds or mixed breeds with unique head shapes

She Walks at my side - no pulling!

The GoodBoy Dog Head Halter really changed how my 5 month old walks with me - It’s a complete 180 degree turnaround! On a traditional neck collar leash our excited puppy would pull about 80% of the time to get to smells and sounds. Our efforts to having a good, well-behaved walk progressed to a prong collar which helped improved control but she still pulled about 50% of the time. I made the decision to find a good head-snout style harness after researching videos on YouTube. I have only had the

Dog likes better than others

My dog seemed to like the comfort of this head harness better than others I have tried & used. The cushion pad is very comfortable for my dog. He doesn't mind it.Once getting used to putting this harness on, it got easier each time.

Pros
  • Can be a helpful tool for working with rescue dogs
Cons
  • May not be effective for older or senior dogs

Great customer service!

I recently reviewed this product and put in my product review that the collar didn't exactly fit properly even after I measure my dogs neck. The seller reached out to me and offered a great solution, and I really appreciate it. Definitely would do business with the seller again.

Pros
  • Collars, Harnesses & Leashes
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for frequent use

I used this product for my large 90lb German shepherd husky puppy because he started pulling again and I was in crutches and needed help walking him. It was great because I could control him with a bad leg and my friends were able to help me. It was the only thing I could walk him with that wouldn’t drag me to the floor. However I could tell he was uncomfortable with it I think because he’s not used to having things around this snout (even though I tried to let him wear it around the house and…

Pros
  • Great for dogs who have a tendency to pull on their leash
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with neck or spine issues

A Blessing best in my review

We have a super strong Samoyed mix who is all too hyper on walks. This hardness keeps her on track and walking like a pro without pulling! I never thought the day would come. It has a really comfortable fit even when pulled tight and our best girl can even enjoy treats while wearing it. This was a great buy!

Pros
  • Designed to fit all dog sizes, including small and large breeds
Cons
  • May not be comfortable for dogs to wear for extended periods of time

The clip under chin unsnaps too easy while walking

Over all it is a great design. Easy to use and sturdier then others I have used. The only problem I have had is the clip under chin that you attach the lead to is not very good. It comes unfastened too easy. I will be contacting them to see if I can get a replacement clip. Otherwise very happy with it

Pros
  • Helps to improve overall leash manners
Cons
  • May require additional training or maintenance

I enjoy walks again!

Before I started using a lead my 120 pound Pitbull would drag me down the street! This lead is not the first I used, but I like the padding for comfort. In addition Good Boy has excellent customer service! The clip on the Halter broke and they are sending a new one for free AWESOME 👌 Happy dog Mama ❤️🐾

Pros
  • My dog has a big neck and small head. This keeps him from pulling out of his collar works great
Cons
  • May cause discomfort or rubbing on sensitive skin areas

Game Changer in my review

We have a giant breed puppy (that is built like a defensive lineman) that pulled like crazy on any walk. Our veterinarian suggested getting a head halter to aid in training him not to pull, and oh man, it made a huge difference! I want him to be a running partner when he is old enough and has leash manners, but I did not know if that was doable. However, this head halter has made that goal seem realistic. Between this and positive reinforcement, he has stopped pulling and is now such a nice…

Pros
  • Helps to build a stronger bond between you and your dog
Cons
  • May not be easy to adjust while in use
