Description of Frying pan Pyrex Optima, diameter 22 cm

Pyrex Optima are good heavy-bottomed pans that are suitable for all types of stoves, including induction. In the production, extra strong forged aluminum with a thickness of 3.8 mm is used. Whitford Xylan Plus dual-layer non-stick coating made of eco-friendly materials free of PFOS, lead and cadmium. Comfortable black Bakelite handle with Soft Touch coating and apple green silicone insert. Increased volume due to a wider base and high walls compared to products of the same diameter from other series. The aluminum pan with a thick bottom and walls provides uniform and fast heating of the surface and retains heat longer. The manufacturer''s warranty for products from the presented series is 10 years.

A good product, more pros than cons.

In general, for such a price you can take and change once a year. Different pros: Smooth bottom made of a homogeneous material that does not leave marks on the induction hob. Has some cons: The non-stick coating is thin. After 4 washes, it is erased on the upper corners of the pan. Irregularities are also felt on the coating (as if there are grains of sand under the coating).

What are non-stick pans for? For him, for teflon. I cook hard, frequent overheating for the sake of a crust, chicken tapaka under pressure for more than an hour and other extreme sports, but the coating has not even turned yellow after a year of use. Draniki and potatoes have an excellent crust. Although it is written that it can be washed in PMM, I only wipe the remnants of fat with a paper towel. In this mode for a year - there is not a single serious damage to Teflon. So far the record.

Pros
  • Excellent coverage quality. Comfortable handle. The ability to achieve a crust when frying.
Cons
  • Slow heating on the stove without induction.
