Comfortable and well built, but the fit is off

I wore these shoes right out of the box. I've had Keen shoes in the past, and I like how they look and how they fit. I thought hiking shoes would be a great idea since I am getting out on trails more. First off, the laces were kind of thin/narrow compared to other shoes, so we'll see how they hold up. But most importantly, my heel slides up and down inside the shoes when I am walking and wearing normal socks. When I tie the laces as tight as I can get them, I can still slide my foot in and out…

Pros
  • Good shoe
Cons
  • The size may not fit all customers

Very Comfortable - Would buy again

I have had full size hiking boots since high school (now 60). This is the my first pair of hiking shoes and I was not disappointed. They do run small: I usually wear a 10 to 10.5 shoe size and since I was planning on using a mid-wt hiking sock, I bought a 10.5 pair. To small - returned and bought a size 11. Great fit. Other nice feature for a wide footed person (C,D width) is the wide toe box. Probably not good for a narrow footed person. We usually hike in mountain canyons of southern Arizona.

Pros
  • My doctor recommended these shoes to me and they were right great art support and comfort
Cons
  • The price may be too high for some customers

Great as Always! in my review

Not much to say. If you're familiar with Keen, you know you're getting a quality shoe. This is probably my 10th pair. These fit and feel as good as the 1st did!

Pros
  • Hiking & Trekking
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with wider heels

Ain't got no sole on my review.

I've owned several pairs of Keen shoes in the past and have been pleased. These shoes however are far from the quality of those in the past. I wear these shoes daily, but they are worn under what would considered 'light usage'. I walk around the house, the office and on the sidewalk. A few months after owning these, a chunk of the sole fell off of one shoe. Since that time, 1 inch pieces of the sole are peeling off in at least 3 other places. Sorry, but a shoe just isn't a shoe without the…

Perfect quality offers KEEN

The most comfortable, support and quality for hiking, and in my case for mountain biking (MTB). The quality of the sole is perfect for the metal pedals of my bike, which, even on muddy or wet ground, respond with a perfect fit and comfort.

Pros
  • Shoes come in a variety of sizes to fit any foot shape
Cons
  • The shoes may be too heavy for people who need lightweight footwear

Hotspots & not secure.

I have other Keen shoes - a pair of Newports that I wear almost year round when I am running errands, doing light work around the house, even jogging and some exercising. I bought a pair of Targhee II after carefully reading the reviews, measuring my feet, etc.Let's start with the good - these are true to size. They have a nice foot bed/last as well as toe box. The width is as expected. They fit like Keen customers would expect. The bad - no matter what socks I tried these on with or whether…

Pros
  • Unmatched comfort is guaranteed with every pair of KEEN Men's Targhee II shoes
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with corns or calluses

Great Shoes on my review.

I normally where a size 10 ½, I got these in size 11 after reading on other sites that this shoe runs a little small. The fit is good and they feel very stable. I'm looking forward to getting them dirty.

Pros
  • Keen Adults - US SHOES
Cons
  • The shoes may not be available in other colors

Keen Shoes - my new review

This shoe is very well made. This was my second pair of Keen shoes. I used to buy cheaper shoes but my Keens outlast the cheaper shoes and are a lot more comfortable, so in my opinion in the long run you will be better off buying quality in the first place instead of cheaper brands.

Pros
  • Provides exceptional support and stability during hiking trips
Cons
  • The shoes may not have enough padding in the heel

Great quality and comfort

Very good hiking shoes. My husband has wider feet and it's hard to find shoes and boots that fit him. These were perfect though, and he wears them for everything.

Pros
  • Amazingly comfortable. I have the boots and shoes. I love these shoes!
Cons
  • The shoes may not fit well for people with wider feet

Disappointed: my feedback

I've owned several pair of this exact shoe. The 1st pair failed after 1 hike up Grandfather Mountain, NC. and Keen paid for another pair, A+. 2nd pair failed the same but wasn't worth the hassle again. Didn't learn my lesson and bought a 3rd pair recently because they fit perfectly and need little break in period, but getting the same quality and results. Need to change brands from here on.

Pros
  • Patented technology ensures your comfort and safety while hiking
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with bunions

Great shoes , comfy and healthy!

These were a birthday gift fo someone who is on his feet a lot and I know of no better shoes from my own experience. Only issue is the strings are impossible to keep tied—but not a deal breaker by any stretch

Pros
  • Shoe is made for cool damp climates. They do not breath but are otherwise comfortable.
Cons
  • The shoes may cause blisters on the feet

Poor design on the tongue - weird fit

I live in Moab and do a lot of hiking. These shoes are poorly designed and I would not have purcashed them if i had tried them on in a store. The design of the lace system does not allow for a good fit over the top of the foot where you tie the shoe. They feel too much like slippers and my feet move around in them too much. They need to have eyelets higher up on the shoe to make it more snug to the top of the foot. I have a normal 10.5 foot.

Pros
  • Waterproof material helps keep feet dry in all weather conditions
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with diabetes

Great fit, Not very durable

I love the fit. Grip is pretty good but not great. Durability is mediocre. They stay waterproof for a while; they start to leak a bit after about 4 months of hard trail use.

Pros
  • Stylish design can be worn with almost any outfit
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with flat feet or low arches

Most Uncomfortable Shoe I've Ever Worn

I used a Keen Tempo Flex previously, and it was great, I wore it out. The Targhee 2 pinches my feet as I walk and is extremely uncomfortable.

Pros
  • 3rd pair. last a long time, sturdy, love them. look really good too
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for all types of hiking trails

As always Walmart was super fast on getting them to me

Keen shoes are worth every penny. Their quality is above the rest. As always Walmart was super fast on getting them to me.

Pros
  • This item can be shipped to select countries outside of the U.S. Learn More
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people who underpronate

The Outer Sole Separates

I’ve been wearing Keen’s Hiking shoes for about 10 years. They make a fairly quality shoe. I replaced the Solomans that I wore almost daily for 6 years. Attached photo is of the Keen Targhee II after 14 months of part time wear. Keen really can’t do anything past the warranty, so I’ll shoe goo these. But, I was disappointed.

Pros
  • Durable leather material ensures long-term product life
Cons
  • The shoes may not have a good grip on wet surfaces

I purchase a new pair every year. I have never had a shoe that I have enjoyed wearing for this long. The Targhee II is what it has always been to be expected. Comfortable Classic Shoe that feels good every step of your day.

Pros
  • mens
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people with narrow heels

Didn't last, not impressed.

Others Inspectors spoke of them. They felt awkward from the beginning, weird ankle support especially walking elevations. The soles are just glued on which started peeling off barely 300 hours on them. Expected more durability and comfort for the price.

Pros
  • Outdoor
Cons
  • The shoes may not be suitable for people who need custom orthotics

Haven't had them long enough to write a great review.

I said these fit but I also went and tried on what size I needed in this brand first. Haven't had them long enough to write a great review.

Pros
  • No breaking in necessary, these are very comfortable
Cons
  • The shoes may be uncomfortable for long hikes
