Works great until you do the initial setup on Android 12

Firstly the button works fully as advertised. I was able to launch a separate Alexa process with each bottom press. This came after Revain support forced me to return my first one because we couldn't get the S3 hub to connect to the Broadlink app. The second came and the problem with the sand. The app just waited for me to connect my phone to the S3 hotspot (which I already did). This time I tried the initial setup on my iPad and everything went fine (I don't know the iOS version). Once the hub

Too unreliable Best in Electric

While these buttons had a lot of potential, they proved to be very unreliable. They worked for a while, even a few days, and then shut down. Reset, uninstall, reinstall, you jump through hoops to get it working again. This seems to be a fairly common issue, Broadlink should address this issue before I purchase any more of their products. To update; If you have trouble reconnecting, just quickly press one of the buttons several times. This method works every time. Yolink makes a button called…

It works. So, something like that! on home automation devices

Love this push button switch so far! I bought it for use in Alexa Routines. As others have said, Alexa recognizes these buttons as motion sensors! It stinks because you can't use the power button function, only motion detected or not detected! I already had the hub set up, so adding this switch to the Broadlink app was a breeze. Alexa instantly recognizes four buttons BUT you need the Alexa app to rediscover those buttons! I wrote several procedures in Alexa and none of them worked! I was so…

Works great and the price is much better than other brands.

I only have four button blocks that work from one hub (each hub can control 8 units) and no problems. Setup was very easy, I don't know why some reviewers say it's a very difficult setup, I had no problems at all. The only potential issue I came across was that when you add new buttons (a new separate block of 4 buttons) to an already configured hub, you might need to re-enable the skill in Alexa if you configured everything but the Alexa -Procedure for This button does not start, which fixes…

Works like a motion sensor in Alexa - Wall Mount "Holster "

Worked great for me, the tips that others have given in the reviews are helpful. Discover devices in Alexa after pairing them using the Broadlink UNIVERSAL TV REMOTE app. Alexa Procedure Tip: You can set up multiple Alexa Procedures to be triggered by a single button (or motion detection). I wanted this because you can only have one custom action per Alexa procedure! I set up two procedures to trigger the same key. One routine with configurable "What is the temperature in (my sensor name)" and…

Alexa Setup Tips

OK, finally figured out how to connect to Alexa. Tip: In the Alexa app, on the device screen, you need to scroll the top sections to the right to find motion sensors ( Echo & Alexa, Lights, Plugs, Switches -> Scrolling). It wasn't obvious at first. Set up the hub in the BroadLink2 app. Setting the button module in the BroadLink3 app. In the BroadLink app, link an Alexa skill by clicking "+" and then "Add Voice Assistant". Associate the BroadLink skill with the Alexa4 app. Forget the…

  • Excellent overall performance

  • Not the best

It works but is painful to set up

Maybe the worst guide I've seen on technology with a generally terrible application. After you've set up both the button and hub, you'll need to set up Routines on your Alexa device, NOT in the BroadLink app. Outside of customization, the app is useless — you can't even use it to test routines you've created with Alexa. Apart from that it works. Because this works motion-based (when you press a button, it's called "motion detection"), there's a slight delay between the button being pressed and…

  • Lots of positive emotions

  • boring packaging

Overall you really don't get what you pay for.

So first of all a great idea but poorly executed. This might work better if you only use it in the Broadlink ecosystem. But I didn't, I need a switch to use with some smart bulbs as I'm tired of people using a light switch. It didn't stop it because the length of the delay to get the bulbs to respond when that button itself was the urge to respond was too great, I had the bulbs connected to ZigBee with Alexa 4th Gen and the procedures were on Alexa performed. I have connected several other…

Link missing! in Electrical

To be honest, BroadLink has been one of the most buggy and frustrating software/hardware/cloud services I've implemented. That being said, it offers more features for its price than anything else (for my use) at this price point. I have had 2 BroadLink IR blasters for many years now. I recently tried 3 of their smart plugs. I bought a set with an additional hub, not realizing that one of my existing devices could be its hub. As I delved deeper into home automation (gates, curtains, location…
