This seal was supposed to prevent leaks but it failed to do so in my automotive application. As my tests showed, the seal did not hold up under pressure and began to leak soon after installation. The only positive thing I can say is that it was affordable, but it's not worth it if it doesn`t work..

I tried putting this on the tube and then putting the tube into the gearbox. I had to remove it and insert it into the hole in the gearbox and insert the probe into the sleeve. I apply gear oil to both sides of the bushing.
