My child is 4 years old and he really likes spelling words. This reading alphabet spelling toy set comes with lots of word flash cards. I didn't count exactly how many. There are only 5 small wooden boards in the set. I will store the cards of difficult words first and leave some easy words for children to play with, and then add cards slowly. Because the paper quality of the letter cards is too thin, it is easy to be broken by children.

It is a gift for my son so I only peeked into the package vs fully examining it, But looks like the picture. I hope he will appreciate it as much as I do. This is a great teaching tool for teaching my grandson his first letter sounds and words. There are five vowel trays, 56 word cards and 58 letter tiles. I started with a very limited set of cards and only one tray. He can pick out the matching letters to make the word. You can then turn the card over to see the picture. This can evolve as he grows. I recommend this to anyone trying to get a head start on reading for their child or who wants to expand their homeschool tool box.

Bought this as I have a foster child that is struggling to learn how to say simple sight words. These are easy for him to use as he also has to attend occupation therapy for simple tasks also. This will help those kids struggling with common CVC and VCV words as it uses blocks and pictures to make the words on the pictures.

I got these for my niece and nephews to use at my house. They are all young children, struggling with the language that is English. Let's face it, sometimes it doesn't make since. They had fun with these blocks. They used the little book to play a word spelling game. They made words they already knew and put them with words they didn't to make funny phrases. Good material , ok size for 3 yrs old , however there were four letter missing, J, L, V, W. That's my review. I had to make them out of carton.

I'm like that this comes with very durable wooden pieces. It is able to withstand kids and floors. It comes with pictures and enough letter to spell them. They are everyday 3 letter words. It helps with sounding, phonics and spelling. Great toy and tool to help kiddos learn.

The items are nice, I’m using them to begin teaching my son to read and spell. He’s doing very well and enjoying it. Just be careful with the letter tiles.

Overall, the quality of the materials is very good. The wooden trays and squares are smooth and fit neatly together. Although the cards are paper, they are coated in a mat material that makes them sturdier and easier to pick up. Some of the letter squares were not printed neatly (e.g. white paint missing in the middle of a letter) but most were fine. The bag is helpful for storing the letter squares, but it would be better if the cardboard box opened from the top, or a wooden box was included…

These wooden reading blocks are well described in the listing. They are nicely made and smooth to the touch. We had intended them to be a grandparent house toy but our 5 year old grandson was visiting when they were delivered. He had such fun with them that we sent them home with him.
