I bought five handlebar bags in preparation for an 800+ mile cycling trip down the New England coast. The quality and durability of this bag was well above those of the rest (which I ended up returning). The bracket system securely attaches the bag to the bike, yet you are able to unclip the bag at your leisure should you need to carry it around with you. The bag fit snugly between my handlebar cables.could have used a little more room for the cables but I was able to adjust and make it work (I just wasn't able to get much use out of the two side compartments). Love that the top of the bag features a clear insert area for cue sheets. Also love that the top flips open away from you when you are seated on the bike. I used this bag to carry my large Nikon camera with lens as well as other odds and ends (my bike lock, camera battery, etc.). The bag was the perfect protection for my camera and kept it safe and secure, even through 40 miles of torrential downpour (thanks to the convenient rain cover). Only negative was that I had to remove the little rubber inserts that lined the inside of the two round handlebar brackets as the brackets would not fit over my handlebars with the rubber inserts inside them (with the rubber inserts in, the screws ended up being too short because I had to put the brackets on the extended setting to fit my handlebars). The rubber inserts are meant to help keep the bag in place when you ride but I did fine without them. My bag did shift down a little over hundreds of miles of vibrations, so I had to adjust it once or twice but that was it. Highly recommend this bag for cyclists looking to travel by bike with larger cameras that need extra protection.
