Review on Plustek OpticFilm 8100-35mm Negative Film/Slide Scanner with 7200 DPI and 48-bit Output: Bundle Silverfast SE Plus 8.8, Supports Mac and Windows by Jesse Stewart

Received my Plus Tech 8100 today and spent an hour and a half to two hours unpacking and connecting it, installing software and learning how to use it. First of all, it installed easily on my MacBook Pro using the optical CD drive. Getting used to scanning slides and using the software was a bit difficult, but doable and rewarding. I don't understand the negative reviews about the software. If you can use Photoshop elements, it's easy to get used to this software. It's missing some features that could make it cleaner and easier to use, but overall it's not difficult. Great scans, different resolutions and many other settings/features to improve your scan. It works perfectly. However, you must be patient as scanning in high resolution mode takes time.
