Replaced this hub nut on our old GE top loading washing machine at the same time as changing the gearbox and tank drum. The nut is fairly large, 1-11/16" and is also left-hand threaded. However, it came off relatively easily using a large 32-ounce ball-peen hammer and a SUPCO TB123A wrench, which I also purchased here at Revain This nut appears to be aluminum and is quite soft, so if for some reason you can't loosen it with a wrench, it can be easily split and removed with a cold chisel.
