This is an amazing radio! One of the best purchases I've made in recent years. I'm a radio amateur and when I'm working in and around my house I'm always moving the radio from here to there. My old radio needed replacing so I gave it a try. I love it. There is a small indentation in the center of the carry handle that makes it easy for me to wrap a finger around the handle and take it with me. The sound is pleasant. It's a bit bass-heavy in the AM band and a treble/bass switch would be nice, but it's not really a problem, just wanted to mention it. The sensitivity is impressive. I live about 50 miles from the nearest FM stations and this radio picks them up with the antenna down! Of course you need an antenna for weaker stations, but it's great. Sound sounds broadband and pleasant on VHF. AM sensitivity is just as good. This radio picks up stations just as well as my old tube radios. This too was a surprise. This radio works great both inside and outside your home or garden. Lots of volume and makes a robust impression. I love it. I'm even considering buying another one to keep so I have a relapse. Highly recommended by me.
