I absolutely hate cables. I've recently started my journey back to school and most of my classes are online so I've been slowly buying stuff for my dual monitor, dual computer setup. I am using Microsoft Surface 7pro with Dell as second display. I have a WD external hard drive, a Logitech mouse and keyboard, and another HP all-in-one with an HP combo mouse and keyboard to work with. I obviously hate how many cables I had and too many mice and keyboards on my desk, let alone switching between them, which is why I found this mouse. It allows you to connect two different Bluetooth-enabled devices, plus an extra USB dongle just in case. There's a button at the bottom to switch between them, so you don't have to disconnect, reconnect, search, or download software. I'm not sure how far you can go before he gets in trouble, but I'll honestly always be about 4-6 inches from him, so it doesn't bother me. Right out of the box it was 97% charged. (comes with a USB charging cable) and connected easily to my Surface. It's so amazing in my hand. I find the soft feel to be a game changer in comfort, and the size and fit of the thumb area and my palm are very comfortable. I didn't realize how tiring my hand was compared to a Microsoft Arch or Logitech mk mouse until I started using this mouse. This mouse is longer and wider and has a nice little hump that allows your hand to rest without excessive lifting. I have long fingers and a long palm so I felt like the top of my hand does the work with most mice and my palm and wrist stay tight even when my wrist is high, but this mouse just fits so well and comfortable that I don't feel it at all anymore! Clicks are almost non-existent. So if you like the sound of a click, you might not be happy as it has the quietest sound due to the soft percussion mechanism built into the mouse. Tbh I only noticed the sound because I was actively looking for it during assembly. Otherwise it's quiet as can be. I know this mouse has two normal left/right clicks and one middle scroll/click which I had no problems with at all! It also has 1 and 2 side thumb clickers but I haven't set them up yet so no impression yet but I think it's great. The layout and appearance is elegant and cool. It definitely looks like a gaming mouse. To be honest, this is the lightest mouse I've ever owned and I've played through my share of regular wireless mice from Microsoft to Logitech and other mice from other manufacturers. It's like it's insanely light, like there's nothing inside, which bothered me the first time I took it out of the box. While it's the lightest mouse I've ever owned, it's also the largest I've owned, which I don't mind and it's not outrageously large, especially given how nice it feels in my hand. I'm planning to travel for work so I'm curious how light it is, but we'll see how it holds up when I pack it up! Amazing response with both bluetooth connection and dongle. I describe this mouse's reaction as lightning fast because it's so fast lol. My Surface connects via Bluetooth and I don't have any latency issues. The only thing I can do is "wake up" my mouse by choosing the Bluetooth setting I use when I start the computer, but it stays on with no problems the whole time I use it. My lectures last about an hour and a half and I found he fell asleep after about half an hour of inactivity, but I just press the Bluetooth button underneath him and he wakes up instantly. A bit annoying, but I'm usually doing something, so it's not often that I don't move the mouse in some way every few minutes. Let's see how much annoyed I'll be in a few months, which I'll report on. Keep in mind I use this mouse between my Surface (Bluetooth) and my HP All in One which needs a dongle as it's an old computer with no Bluetooth connections. I use Hello on my Surface to turn on my computer so I don't know if it connects before or after, but I don't find it skipping beats after my computer starts up. My HP has no lag and it works when I select the button option on the mouse. Setup was just as easy on both computers, just plug in/plug in and go. Switching between my Surface and HP was flawless and there seemed to be no lag at all. I've been using it for about a week with an 8-9 hour work day and it says it has about 53% battery left (it tells you if you check the Bluetooth connection). I didn't charge it at all so I'm happy with the battery life and know I can only charge it occasionally instead of buying batteries. This mouse not only freed up the USB port, but two mice at once, so I'm very satisfied and I'm happy to continue using it. I'll update my review in a few months and let you know if my first impression holds up.
