Review on HYSENM Mountain Bike Pedals 9/16 Inch MTB Bicycle Platform Pedals Flat Lightweight Non Slip Aluminum Bike Pedals For BMX Road Bike by Marc Oner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Decent pedals, especially for this price - UPDATE - One pedal lost the outer nut.

UPDATE 10-29-2021: One of the pedals lost the outer nut while on a trail ride. No way to find it, so this set of pedals is now worthless. Just lucky the pedal didn't fall off on the trail. I'm dropping my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. The pedal did see some fairly heavy mountain trail usage, and apparently it's not up to that. If you do buy these pedals make sure to check the tightness of the outer nut that holds the pedal together on a regular basis.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I put these on a mountain bike, replacing a pair of plastic/nylon Nukeproof pedals. The Nukeproof pedals have long screws, and in fact too long for my liking. And for me screws are really a bit much. I don't want those digging into my legs if I make a mistake. These pedals have smooth metal stubs that are a shorter length, as shown in the listing pictures. For me this was an improvement and pretty much all I think I need for now. These pedals also spin much more smoothly than the old ones, indicating better bearings. Maybe the old ones had gotten dirty inside somehow, but they were ridden for less than 500 miles and never in the mud so they should have still been fine. At under $30 these are worth a try.
