Review on Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Pro, black by Ta Wan ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It has some flaws but the product is usable.

These are my first TWS headphones, and at first I was beside myself with happiness and thought that for such a justified cost (bought for 5k) these are quite comparable characteristics, and that it couldn’t be better. But, as it often happens, everything is known in comparison. It is not entirely clear why there are two types of ear pads in the kit, because a solid alternative to silicone has not yet been invented; I couldn’t determine what kind of material for the ear pads of the second type, but even despite the “memory effect”, they are rather impractical, the ears get very tired and their design itself is not durable. I recommend paying attention to Anker Soundcore headphones, in particular the Life P3 models (cheaper and newer) and Liberty Air 2 Pro (more expensive and older).

Pros
  • Good transparency mode, the material of the case and headphones does not get dirty, comfortable rubber ear pads.
Cons
  • Supported codecs are tailored for Mi branded products (latest smartphones), which makes listening to instrumental music on an iPhone a mess. There is no proprietary software on the global version, and in China only in Chinese. With a short-term loss of connection and further restoration, there is a delay of about 2-3 seconds, you have to completely stop playback to restore.
