Review on Dive In Style With The Friendly Swede'S Durable Silicone Swim Caps For Men And Women With Long Hair! by Doug Friedman

Nice Swim Caps for my opinion

I wanted to use the caps a few times before I wrote a review. The caps appear to made of a nice material, and the fit is ample for my 20.5 - 21 inch head, comfortable, not too tight. The material appears quite acceptable, not cheaply thin. I also have very thin hair so someone with more hair and/or a larger head may have better luck than I as the water seemed to pool on the bottom of the "ear shelf" and got into my ears. I don't believe any strapless swim cap will keep the water out completely, but the cap serves its purpose. It probably is a bit too large for my head. I tried different positions (just over the brows, a little higher above the brows, etc). My entire head did not get wet, and I do not swim under water as a general rule. I liked it well enough to give one away the very first time I used it to a stranger who desired a cap, and to also purchase a 2nd set. Can't have too many swim caps, and I like that two caps are included in the event one tears. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.UPDATE - Feb 2015: I have continued to use these excellent caps without any issues. I do find that wearing just above my eyebrows allows less water seepage into the cap. I also found that once water does enter, after allowing the water to escape, if I press in the center of the cap at the ear a sort of vacuum forms and seals that area keeping the water out of the ears - kind of like a vapor lock (shuts out the noise also). I also discovered I was wearing it backwards - the logo apparently should be at the front instead of the back. This cap has already outlasted my previous cap of a different brand. A quality product.

Pros
  • Provides ample space for long hair
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with hearing aids or ear plugs
