Ordered despite negative reviews. It wasn't a high priority. However, it was delivered quickly and works perfectly. Use it with speakers rather than headphones, and it "matches" external speakers, so while it's only used occasionally, it's small, compact, and a good "set". Meets my needs, couldn't ask for more. I couldn't find the "hand washing" warning mentioned by another reader, but I'll do it just in case. -------------------------------------------------- -------- ------------------------- September 3 Purchase Date UPDATE REVIEW October 1. Only used a few times and NOW when I really need it. Whether it's commercial CDs or computer-burned Audible CDs, it just plays for a while and then pauses. Checked disks on other devices, everything is fine. Very frustrating. I like the look of the player, the size etc. and I REALLY WANT IT TO WORK. But no luck. If I knew how to do it, I'd change the rating to ONE for his looks. NONE for its performance. VERY DISAPPOINTED! ---------------------------------- BUT. I am stubborn. kept fumbling and fumbling. when I look back and know it worked the last time I used it. After many tests. I think I found the problem. And it's NOT Colby. Apparently the cheap batteries I used were not securely attached and would lose connection with the slightest movement. I'm writing this to apologize for my hasty negative review and to warn people who have the same or a similar problem. CHECK YOUR BATTERIES! revenge I'm sorry Colby.
