These are cheap looking and feeling, but they point North. I took them each out of the box one by one and they all pointed in the same direction. When in the box together, they all have slightly different readings, but that is likely because of the magnetic forces interacting with each other.They wobble a bit and it takes longer for the needle to settle than on my bigger, higher quality compass. but I didn't expect these to be perfect. These are great little tools to toss in grab/go bags and small survival kits. They are small enough to keep in your pocket.4 stars
