Just Doesn’t Work in my review

I received this the same night I used it, and immediately could tell the quality on these was going to be a 50/50. Sure, they’re heavy. But the packaging and overall frustration of trying to open up each component of the clippers gave me the sense that they were poorly engineered. But, I held out hope, and went to clip my dogs nails. He’s not a big fan of it but will endure for treats. However, these lasted through maybe 3-4 of his nails and then suddenly stopped clipping! The poor guy had me trying to get the last nail in and while going for the clip, it twisted his nail and barely made an indent. The blade went dull that quickly. As for the nails that did get clipped, these clippers also made them cracked in spots and filing was a necessity. For a dog that has anxiety, this definitely didn’t help him one bit. I normally take him to the groomer but covid has me stuck at home, and this was just not the product it should’ve been. This is listed for $30 but I got it for $15, yet I wouldn’t pay more than $5 for these!I’m no Karen, I’m not even a crazy dog-mom. I have a Shepherd-type dog and I’m a young woman in her 20s. I never write reviews, but this was annoying enough to leave my cautionary tale, especially since the 4 stars this thing has is EXTREMELY misleading. Maybe if you have a small dog, this works great. But not $30 great. And for a large breed, this is an absolute rip off.
