I've tried this drive with both a Raspberry Pi 4 (using a USB-SATA cable) and an old laptop. On the Raspberry Pi, the drive was drawing too much power. With a 3.6A (18W) power supply, the Raspberry Pi would display a lightning bolt icon on the screen when reading from the drive and the drive would click at the same time. Also, the speed was terrible. When I tried this on an old laptop (HP Elitebook G3) it worked great. The speeds were pretty high. The drive clearly got enough power. In response to some reviews that the drive is very slow, it's possible that the computer you're using isn't providing enough power to the drive. So overall the drive works well, but not for the purpose I wanted it to be. First I wanted a cheap hard drive of around 300GB to run Retropie on. But this drive draws too much current to be used in this way. So I just keep it as a reserve instead. As an aside, it's a whopping 9mm thick, so it's not suitable for ultra-thin machines that require a 7.5mm drive.
