Review on Sergers Technique Bible Decorative Stitching by Carla Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great book for those who are at least familiar with the basics of crimping

I have several books on siding, some better than others. This is one of the good options for me, mainly because it has almost the same machine as mine, but even if you have a different brand there will be no problems as they all work almost the same. If you have an air-filled auto-tension babylock, it doesn't help much. This book is easy to understand with lots of color illustrations to help you. It also includes embroidery snippets as well as "ideas" images of how different stitches can be incorporated into design elements. The only thing I would like to stress is that if you are a complete beginner (i.e. have never used an serger) I would recommend getting a beginner serger first as some of the guides assume you are familiar with fairly familiar with using an serger.. and skim it. basic things. For me it's one of the best

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

My serger class instructor recommended this book. She said it was the best she could find.
