These needles will certainly take some getting used to, but I think it's worth the effort. My sleeves knit in the round with these needles look much better than the sleeves knit with Magic Loop. Careless handling of the spokes can cause the cables to come loose. You must hold them in such a way that your fingers do not rest on the connection and do not strain it. I also found that I checked the connection frequently to make sure it wasn't loose. I can say that the 2 inch spokes didn't come loose from the cable through the long sleeve of the adult sweater. I've found that 3" (longer) spokes might be more prone to breakage. I think I tend to hold 3" needles like they're full-size needles, resulting in my fingers getting on the Another minor annoyance of mine is that I want size 2 and 3 needles to work with "small" cords used with other ChiaoGoo size 2 and 3 needles, not mini Pigtails so I can use the same cords with all my needles size 2 and 3. Overall I'm happy with the needles and glad I bought them but given the price and the two downsides mentioned above I'm giving them four stars instead of five .
