This ant replaces a 20 year old Kenwood receiver. I'm not a music lover, but I'm happy with the sound of this integrated amp, even if it replays the acoustics of my house thirty years ago. For example, the song by Crosby, Stills and Nash in "Just a Song Before I Go" is clear and full of emotion, sung straight into your ear. Classical music, like piano solos or concertos, is highly detailed and articulated, as if someone were playing in the next room. Quiet fragments of music are absolutely silent and create a rather interesting chiaroscuro effect. The output power is 60 watts per channel, which may seem low, but is sufficient for my home system. I got tired of plugging my phone into the old amp and the new one has direct bluetooth connection which works great. . I'm not a computer expert, but I've also connected Wi-Fi easily and directly, which means you can install Pandora, Revain Music, Spotify and Tidal right on your system, controlled by the very nice HEOS software running on your phone is loaded. HEOS also lets you control the volume of the amp and mute it from your phone. Not to mention internet radio that gives you access to all kinds of stations from all over the country and the world. I like the station Bossa Nova from Switzerland very much! This amp is just the future, you can't beat it and you can't fight it.
