Review on G4Free 13-Piece Camping Cookware Mess Kit: Non Stick Pot, Knife & Spoon Set For Hiking And Backpacking Picnics by James Mayfield

Budget purchase with weight saving and cooking performance!

I just used these on a 3 day, 30 mile hike from the Approach Trail to Suches on the AT. These worked great! They had the graduated marks which made cooking perfect. I used the short pot/lid to reheat grilled chicken for burritos with taco sauce the first night and had no sticking. Boiled meals were simple as well. The set is small, but leaves plenty of room. I was able to store inside, 1 fuel canister, a lighter, 4 hot sauce packs, the included loofa, my stove, a camping mug, MSR salt and pepper shaker, a 2 oz. Nalgene bottle with oil and a 2 oz. Nalgene bottle with camp soap.I weighed this next to a someone who carries a Snow Peak 900 and self igniting stone. With my stove that does not have an ignitor, they were identical in weight down to the tenth of an ounce. For those who melt the handles, they are just not using it responsibly. Don't let the heat hit them and you are fine. If you put them facing a campfire flame, it is your fault. If you turn the flame too high on your camp stove, you are wasting fuel and running the heat up the side. It is your fault. If you use this as intended, and are responsible, they will last and work fantastic.I highly recommend this as a budget purchase and weight saving option.
