Revainrating 5 out of 5

So glad we bought it. Too bad we did that earlier.

I've seen them before while shopping. Before I had a baby, I thought, 'Babies these days need to be exposed to germs. This contraption is just ridiculous!” Then we had a child. I bought this and am SO glad I did for two reasons: (1) you need space when purchasing! I go shopping and often take my baby with me. When she was a baby I carried her in a car seat. The problem was that the car seat took up the ENTIRE cart and depending on the store could not be balanced to float over the cart's child seat. This was especially true in places where food carts were thick plastic, not wire frame carts. Even when I was in a shop that had metal frame carts, the car seat didn't attach to it very well. We live in the city and the grocery store is often crowded. I was so scared that the trolley would get hit and the baby seat would fall. Then she started kicking and moving more. I noticed that the car seat that was mounted to the front of the shopping cart just wasn't secure. SO, I tried a stroller one day - yes, my groceries didn't fit in the bottom basket. This really limited what I could buy and was a disappointing experience. (2) I also got this after going to the store, only to end up with a shopping cart covered in raw chicken juice. I was just so disgusted with all of this and worried that my baby would put it in his mouth if it was with me. I bought this, not from Baby R Us where it was $40! I love it. My child can sit well, but is still too small for the trolley. I cover her with a pillow and voila, we're done! She LOVES going into the store and engaging with all of it. I have also used this in high chairs in restaurants and it has worked well. Again, my baby is too small for her, just without a pillow. Our friend who has the same thing says that the transparent front pocket designed for the phone is great for storing snacks! I'm against giving my child a phone so I put my shopping list in a clear pocket on the front and it works great. I love it although I feel a bit ridiculous using it considering how I felt about it before having a baby. However, I now recommend it to friends when they say they're having trouble doing basic things like grocery shopping,

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
