First of all the 3D sound is AMAZING when you connect 2 of these together, especially the battery lasts a very, very long time. The volume can be adjusted so that the sound fills the whole backyard without the "sound burst", it can sound perfectly balanced throughout the backyard (you don't have to sit on the speaker to get the best sound, it literally keeps a constant volume at when set). Importantly, even at a fairly decent volume in the backyard, you can barely hear it in the front yard and neighbors' yards, as the sound fills the room without being too loud. The only downside (the reason for the lower rating) seems to be that the music drops out quite often for no apparent reason. We can just play the music normally for 30 minutes and then it starts cutting out the music every few minutes and ruins the whole effect (we run it pretty much exclusively as a pair set). We usually have to disconnect, reconnect and then we have another 30 minutes without a break. Maybe we have a bad couple? would love to hear from others if they have the same connection issue and see the two running as stereo speakers. This is very bad, I think this is the first time I rate a product so highly on individual elements, but due to the fairly important element required for paired speakers I have to lower the overall rating.
