Review on 14 Inch Aluminum Lazy Susan Turntable Bearing Swivel Plate Rotating Mechanism Hardware Kit Base Only by Epickson Palma

First the products ( I purchased two) arrived with absolutely no instructions. Is the set screw for purposes of lubrication? The lazy susan I'm attempting to assemble is a 15 inch serving platform attached to a twelve inch pedestal. Both the platform and pedestal have been milled to 3/4 inch thickness and are perfectly flat. I figured out that the vinyl inserts had to be removed, after which I used #6 one inch screws to attach both the pedestal and platform. No matter what I do when I rotate the lazy susan it drags or catches and scars the wood (not yet finished). I also noticed what appears to be oil stains on the wood. I'm wondering if this unit is damaged or out of round. I'm thinking about trying the second unit. Any help or suggestions out there? One other thing. the units arrived in a cardboard box without any packing what so ever.UPDATE: I have now discovered after attempting to use the second unit that I purchased, that what appears to be lubrication oil has leaked from not one but both units, one of which has damaged the wood of my project. Clearly the two units that I obtained are not the same quality that some other reviewers have specified in their write-ups. I discovered that the return period of this purchase has passed and I can not return it so this is now cause for me to minimize future purchases of this type from Revain. I will use my local businesses so I can touch and feel the product.
