Remote doesn’t work

In theory this toy is awesome. The power up sequence is adorable and engaging. Unfortunately, the remote control didn’t work AT ALL. Multiple battery changes and charging the dog for hours made no difference. Extremely disappointing for my daughter who waited weeks to get it.
