Review on Marshall Tufton: Black Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Unmatched Sound Quality & Portability by Chad Gue

Revainrating 5 out of 5

10 pounds little beast

Sound quality is very important to me so I was willing to spend more money. I have a Sony XB-32 that cost a little over $100 and I really wanted something more. I did a lot of research and came across this beefy little collar. I bought it "like new" from Revain for $280. Is that three times the speaker of my Sony? Oh yes it is! The sound quality is truly exceptional and the bottom end is full and punchy. In my shed I have a $100 Polk 8-inch subwoofer hooked up to an Onkyo receiver, and this thing beats it hands down. The high-end is great, but as other reviewers say, the mid-range performance doesn't match the quality of the highs and lows. the end. Not that it was bad, but an attentive ear will notice. Don't let this become a deal breaker for you because overall this thing will rock your socks. It gets pretty loud, especially indoors, but none of them can survive an entire party outdoors. The good news is that even at maximum volume, it contains virtually no distortion. The build quality feels premium, which is what I would expect from a high-end speaker. The front grille is very solid and seems very protective in case you're wondering. The grips feel very nice (not cheap). You turn it on by turning the volume knob and it makes a very nice click. The battery life is incredible as far as I can tell. I used it offline for several hours and the battery (which is a nice touch) is still at 85%. It's a no-frills speaker in terms of apps or voice assistants, but in my case it's exactly what I wanted. I LOVE the carrying strap and the small footprint. Trust me you need this speaker.
