Review on KSEIBI 271420 Machinist Engineers Hammer With Soft Grip Handle - Forged Steel Cross Peen Sheet Metal Hammer, Ideal For Blacksmith Forging Tools (1.10 Lb / 500 Grams) by Jason Laney

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great for a few projects

I can say that I bought this with great intentions to use for an extended amount of time. Oh was I so naïve.i brought this into my beginner bladesmithing classes thinking it was a solid deal. It very quickly became apparent that the edges are so indented that they will make impressions into your material that you're working with, the handle contorting is borderlne acceptable, and the small spaces that are present after they assemble it at the factory from a not-so-perfect fit are sealed with some sort of glue.If you are looking for a cheap hammer that can be used for one or two things, then this is for you but do not expect absolute quality or durability

Pros
  • Works well for light blacksmithing work.
Cons
  • The cross peen may be too sharp, causing damage to delicate or intricate metalwork
