Basic peripheral, works well at high altitudes

Earned this in the Fall 2013 Wii Fit U free promotion. cheaper than the full price of the package. You don't need this to play Wii Fit U, but you do need a balance board. So if you are planning to download the game, keep that in mind. If you are planning to buy a set, one of these devices will be included. Do not wear this device while playing, your METs for these workouts will be processed in-game. I take it to work. The place where I work is at high altitude and can involve quite a bit of activity. The device has no problem at altitudes above 10kFt. I didn't experience any sticky keys, as sometimes happens with pressure drops with altitude changes. It's durable, I didn't damage it until I dropped it, and it easily clips to my bag so I can keep it out of the way. However, the device considers the sync altitude as 0 feet, so it cannot be used to measure altitude accurately. The altimeter (barometric pressure sensor) and accelerometer inside are meant to measure workout intensity, so that's to be expected. I am very satisfied with the action and the purchase. I'm slowly getting myself to take the device with me and at least sync and run Body Test, even though I'm not planning on practicing the game. Especially since work sometimes makes daily syncing or in-game practice difficult and can become a workout in itself!
