Very upset!

Update October 2010: Now that I have been using this unit for over a year I am disgusted with it and possibly DVD recorders in general. I say this because I have two devices from two different brands and I tend to conclude that the whole format is sluggish and unreliable. My old VCR works better, faster and more reliable. This unit records a TV program until I stop the recording, after which an error message appears stating that it is not possible to write to this disk - this is with a disk that worked previously and has plenty of space left . . You'd think it could tell me when I first put in a disc, but no - it waits for the program to finish. That happens every now and then. I've been using the same brand and type of disc all along, and the problem only started recently. Another problem: it loses time almost every day, so I can't pre-program it for recording. The only thing this junk does reliably is play rental movies. I would like to try a hard disk video recorder and I hope this technology is better.

Pros
  • ATSC Digital HD/SD TV Tuner Year
Cons
  • So far so good
