Review on 🎡 Icstation DIY Light Sensor Sound Module Micro USB Music Player for Talking Greeting Card: A Creative Gift with 8M Memory and Speaker by Darrell Sharp

Great little music player for DIY projects

I bought this to make a little music box for my wife. It was easy to use and with some samples of music files I was able to pack 4 songs into the 8MB internal memory. With the size of the speaker, you just can't expect fantastic sound quality, so there's no point in having really high quality, high bitrates, and therefore large audio files. I've used VLC to export to mono at 64kbps or 96kbps and they sounded ok and allowed me to insert more files. The light sensor works great so it only works when the box is open and the batteries lasted longer than I expected. Just remember to leave your project with access to a USB port for charging and file management. Also a note, the files play in alphabetical order and ALWAYS start over every time they are opened. Remember, if you want the user to listen to the third or fourth file, they have to listen to all the songs each time to get to the end. To ensure the correct order, I simply renamed the files 1.mpg, 2.mpg, etc.
