Review on Filter Eheim Biopower 240 by Gabriela Antoniak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

Before that, I used aquaball180 as an additional filter, but it became necessary to put coral chips in the filter, and then it turned out that his baskets for laying substrates were completely unsuitable, I bought a biopower 240, poured crumbs into three baskets and, in addition to the 4th regular one with a sponge (after removing bottom cover) attached 3 more from aquaballs, also with sponges, since the height of the aquarium allows, well, so that they don’t lie around, after turning on the pump, I immediately heard some kind of mechanical crackle, I thought maybe air, well, or something like that ., I waited 10 minutes, the water pressure is good, the crackling is as it was, I removed the pump, it still cracks, in short, after 15 minutes of various useless manipulations, I removed the impeller cover while the pump was running in the water and carefully, without sudden movements and excessive efforts, installed it back until it clicked the castle and: silence, I didn’t understand what it was, from that moment it works almost silently, but the overall impression was spoiled, everything was made in Germany, well, the price tag is like that of a not big and not the worst external ., well, only brand, as it were, simpler .

Pros
  • Productivity, ease of removal of baskets and maintenance, compactness, manufacturer
Cons
  • Power cord is short
