Review on ๐ŸŽธ PlayStation 3 Rock Band 3 Wireless Fender Mustang PRO-Guitar Controller by Reza Cook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It met my expectations.

I've never been a huge fan of Guitar Hero/Rock Band, I wanted something more like playing a real guitar. Please note that I don't otherwise play the guitar. I had heard of the Fender Squier and its ability to connect with the rock band, but it seemed like there was a $500 or $600 gap between the guitar and the required interface module. That was really more than I wanted to spend on the game. Then I came across a Mustang and it was cheap in comparison so I bought it. It was a few weeks ago. Work got in the way so I only played 4 or 5 hours. I love it! It's a lot more complicated than the old-style 5-button controllers, but Rock Band is set up so it's not so difficult that it's frustrating. I think they developed the piece well so that it doesn't become too disappointing. So far I've played on "Easy" and it's really easy. But it's harder than the first few hours of music lessons. I had problems with Rock Band crashing. But it doesn't seem to be the controller. I play for about 45 minutes and just get thrown back to XMB like I'm out of the game. Unlike the other review here, I just plugged in the controller, synced, launched the game, and played. Note though that I didn't have Rock Band installed yet, I used a guitar controller to set it up. Overall I would give a thumbs up.
