Review on 18 TB External HDD Western Digital WD Elements Desktop, USB 3.0, black by Boyan Djerahov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

I had a lot of movies, music, and images that needed to be stored, so I purchased an HDD. The decision was made almost instantly to go with this model. Naturally, I was a little bummed out about the loss of 200 gigabytes of storage space, but this is already a specialized kind of technology. I use this hard drive as a movie savings account, and it has served me well without any problems for the past two years. The one thing that can be frustrating is the rate at which a significant volume of data can be downloaded. Take, for instance: Although 110 gigabytes of movies are dumped in the range between one and two hours, this is not a drawback because I was aware before hand that it featured USB 2.0. There is no denying that the cost is too high; nonetheless, I was unable to locate a volume that was offered at a lower price. If we evaluate this HDD according to its cost-effectiveness, we won't find any faults; everything has been assembled correctly, and there are no backlashes or squeaks to be heard. Pros
  • Huge loudness, zero noise, zero heat, and a lengthy cable connection.
Cons
  • The inconvenient nature of the power source is reflected in the fact that there is not always an outlet nearby (although I should qualify this as more of a nitpick than a criticism given that I initially was aware of what I was purchasing). Actual storage space of 1.8 Terabytes, USB 2.0 port count
