I needed to record a cell phone call and it was the cheapest option. the earpiece has a microphone on the opposite side that records what your conversation partner says and your voice (slightly louder). I bought it on Friday and it was at my house on Monday. Wonderful. One thing, this mic doesn't have its own power supply, so whatever recording device you connect it to must supply power. I used an Olympus VN-2100 digital recorder and it worked almost flawlessly. I say almost because the microphone doesn't record in stereo, but in mono. but the recording volume is loud and comes out very clear even when the speaker/mic is not directly above the listener. You can't do better for money. Many online spy shops charge $200 or more for the same feature. I got this mic (which records cellphone and landline calls) plus a digital voice recorder for less than $50.
